Spider veins are small red, bluish, or purple veins that can result from a number of causes. They commonly occur on the face and legs. The laser delivers a prescribed dose of energy to the problem veins and coagulates them while sparing surrounding tissues. After treatment, the vessel slowly and naturally disappears over the course of 3-4 or more weeks. However, some vessels may disappear immediately. Typically, one to two treatments is recommended.
